Green Generation is Green18’s flagship project that will build upon the passion displayed by Scotland’s young people as part of the #FridaysForFuture protests.

The project will use our 18 small steps as a frame for a day-long workshop in primary schools across Scotland. The workshop will introduce pupils to global environmental issues such as climate change, plastic pollution, deforestation, soil erosion and water insecurity which they may or may not already know about. All of these global issues can be brought back home and we will demonstrate how everyone’s small actions at home in Scotland can help to prevent everything from deforestation in Indonesia to pollution in the Pacific Ocean.

They day will culminate with a session that will allow the pupils to take a lead devising ideas and activities that can help their class and school reduce its environmental impact. We believe giving power and responsibility to the youngest in society is key to building Scotland’s Green Generation.
